Using Solar Orb and holding down the button while moving makes the character and the camera spaz out

I want to put 2 Solar Orbs down by holding the button while I'm moving, but it makes my character and the camera spaz out. I can obviously just click the button twice instead, but I'm guessing this isn't supposed to happen. It behaves normally while standing still.
