Remove "Your character is already using this Support Gem" please

Dunno if anyone's mentioned it, but for the love of EVERYTHING please remove this "Support Gems are 1/character" thing. If I want to put Persistence on both my Orb of Storms *and* my Conductivity, that's between me and myself. Imagine if this was in POE 1, the struggle of getting something like a trap or totem or poison build to work would be unbearable.

This is a genuine and unequivocal step *down* in terms of build variety and experimentation, since now you can't freely assign whichever support you want to whichever skill, especially if you're building around a status effect or a damage type (hello Poison or Lightning Builds, how ya doing with only one Conduction/Envenom Support?)

If this exists *exclusively* for the sake of Early Access and forcing people to play different support gems, I can *maybe* accept it, but even then it's genuinely more of a hassle than an invitation to experiment

Of course. What self-respecting POE1 player isn't gonna complain until they can get seven MOAR supports into every single skill they run so they can then ignore eight of their nine skill slots in favor of mindlessly one-buttoning their way through Pinnacle content?

The Highlander Rule makes for fun and interesting buildcraft and figuring out the best web of skills and supports to bring with you. Wanting literally every skill in the entire game to run the same three or four support gems every single time "Because that's optimal for DPS!" is boring beyond belief. You find some of the most interesting interactions because the game doesn't let you phone it in that way.

The sooner people stop trying to play PoE1 in their PoE2, the sooner this forum will be bearable to read.

Personally I think the "Can only slot X gems of Y Attribute" is a leagues better limitation than this is. Because if you want all of those slots, you're going to have to pay for it in going for stats over other effects ideally.
