High latency on Sao Paulo servers since last patch
|
Hi everyone,
I'm from Argentina and I've been playing with no issues at all in the Sao Paulo servers until the last patch. Ping was stable and normal. I logged in yesterday and suddenly my ping spikes to 130-150ms range but ONLY when moving or doing any action in the game. It stays around 40 and then spikes as soon as I move or do anything. There's noticiable input delay and freezes. I tried reseting my router, disabling steam overlay, verifying game files, restarting the game multiple times, instance switching, with no luck. The ONLY thing that has worked was using a VPN and connecting to a server in Brazil. Suddenly when using a VPN I don't have lag spikes anymore. This tells me the issue is something between my connection and POE servers. It's strange cause this wasn't an issue before, and I can play other games normally. Is anyone else having this issue? Thanks! Last bumped on Apr 6, 2025, 8:27:03 AM

Just wanted to post an update. It seems like this is a known issue since the original POE. It's not a problem on POE servers, it's a problem between the ISP and the Brazil servers. Installing and using a software called Exitlag solved it.
It's not optimal but it's the only solution that doesn't involve talking to my ISP. Explaining this issue to them would be impossible |
