Feedback. White monsters are stronger than the boss.
Why are white monsters stronger than the boss?
Why do white monsters do more damage or comparable damage to act bosses?
Area explosions, projectile attacks, heavy attacks from "big" monsters - why do all these attacks do more damage than any boss? I just can't understand.

It has been repeatedly pointed out that this game is about interesting boss fights. This is not the case now.

Any act and end game boss poses a much smaller threat than a pack of white monsters. Absolutely disgusting balance. In addition to the fact that monsters constantly surround, there are also constant micro stuns. Area explosions that hit for one hit. In 150 hours, I have never been killed by a boss with one hit.With white monsters, this is constant. It's just awful. Heavy hits of monsters in the Agoratha area are more powerful than Doryani's hits. Why such a "balance"?
Now the gameplay is as follows - somersaults, so as not to receive one hit from the white monsters in order to kill the boss in 3 seconds. Interestingly, this is - not! Why are there monsters in almost every location that jump on you or behind you in the amount of 5 pieces, so that you simply physically cannot move? Yes, with such damage that they kill in 3 seconds. Interestingly, this is not! Why this artificial complication?
All this makes the game very drawn-out and exhausting. But it does not make it and especially the passage of acts interesting.

What are your defenses? Are you mitigating damage? Evading it? Being swarmed is a threat due to the number of attacks, less so the magnitude. Would guess an Evasion build?
Defenses mean nothing in this game. You either kill or be killed. You're either lucky to survive an attack that you couldn't possibly see coming (From magic mobs or unironically white mobs) or you're not. Simple as that.

This is cope.
Do you have any arguments that aren't meaningless phrases? You talk, but you say nothing.

Lol. Notice you didn't answer the initial question yourself either, but hey, I'm not the one struggling.

I tried:
- Evasion;
- Armor;
- Energy Shield;
The results are always the same. 3 seconds and a corpse.
I just can't understand why 6 white monsters are stronger than the boss. And bunches of monsters from the environment are killed in a few seconds. Not to mention the monsters that throw an explosion on the area.
And where can I get enough protection in Act 1-2? Monsters in the quarry that throw fire grenades kill in 2 explosions (286 hp +300 EC, 30 fire resistance). Some other monsters that throw projectiles from the darkness also kill pretty quickly.
This is just not normal.

Don't think that I haven't completed Act 2. I've completed all the acts and reached T6 maps. I have an idea of what will be on the maps. I just decided to try out a new character and put him in "decent" gear. But this problem will not go away, as in the first playthrough.

Okay, so in Act 1 you're going to be kind of stuck with whatever you can get, but if you're in Evasion gear you should be shooting for at least 70% chance to evade hits, more if you can, which should be attainable in Act 2 pretty easily.

There does come a point where Evasion stops being useful due to diminishing returns, and you kind of want to pick up more Energy Shield or Armor to deal with the damage you're eventually statistically going to take, and if you know a given enemy type tends to use specific damage types (Jamanra likes lightning, for example), you can tailor your resists to that so that if you do take damage, it's unlikely to one-shot you.

I'm at t8 or so maps (+/- 2 depending on affixes) with about 2.2k EHP and > 70% ele resists (30%ish Chaos) and breezing through as long as I'm being attentive.

True. This makes the game experience extremely bad.
I even checked.
I made (as much as possible level 60) the most protected character and went to kill Doryani (I consider him a pretty easy boss). It was torture and it was terribly tiring and very long.
While a "naked" character, pumped to the maximum in damage, dealt with this boss without problems.
This is just not normal!
