I reach up to Rudja, the dread engineer.
and that boss pretty much one shotted my warrior. playing warrior is painful, playing warrior doesn't feel warrior-like. there are 5 damage types, phys, fire, cold, lightning, chaos. armor mitigates phys. 1 out of 5. energy shields mitigates all except chaos damage. 4 out of 5. dodge mitigates projectiles and strikes, which leaves out only slam and degen 2 out of 4. enemy levels depending on the map level, if they hit hard, they will hit harder as you progress. and then we get negative resistances as we progress. ------------------------ I think and I want, I need life nodes and resistance nodes back. playing warrior feels miserable. dont listen to the streamers.. the game is really bad and will get masive changed/nerfs
ggg can def see how many people are leaving and dying in early acts, etc they know exactly how bad their game is right now. they will be making changes. or maybe not.. they suckered everyone into presales so they already got everyones money so maybe they wont care if 80% of their users who are casual leave. personally id rather have the 80% over the 20% of the degen grinders. |

Warrior starts on the side of the skilltree with +4 maximum ele res, and even higher for fire. This combined with armor and capping your chaos res makes you tanky against all damage types. You also get phys leech and regen for recovery.
ES builds have a more straightforward strategy, but at the cost of recovery being more difficult to solve. |

I know what you mean, but maximum ele resist is all about the "later" and not the "now.", it doesn't even provide resist only upping the cap(except the +5% resist prism guard)
I'm already getting one shotted "now", not "later", hence it's miserable. ------- I'm very happy with evasion and e shield. but this warrior with only armor nodes... not so much. |

" you are right! but here's the thing. a boss hits you hard with elemental "now". with e shield = "get more e shield." with evasion = " get more evasion." with armor = "get more gear that have elemental resist." warriors have no "duct tape"(passive skill points) options. ------------------- imagine playing with a friend(since couch coop is available now with controller.) that friend picks warrior, wants to do warrior things. friend: I always die in every encounter, what do I do? you can't recommend anything that can duct tape your friend's problem. all you can say is. "bro you need to get gear with elemental resists." Which is not a duct tape option. unlike telling a friend that plays a mage or a archer/bow. "get more evasion/ get more e-shield." what you gonna say to your friend? "Get strength nodes to get 10 HP." ...REALLY? REALLY? -------------------- We need HP nodes and ele resist nodes. levels must mean something, passive skills must compensate gear inefficiencies until it can be respec to other passive points when you do get the gear to compensate said weakness. I've been playing warrior, but tank warrior, and I haven't had any problem with bosses mid way through act 2. So maybe this is more of a problem for dps players? I've actually been really enjoying the campaign, it's one of the best gaming experiences I've had in half a decade.

Melee is and always was gear dependant. I had a rough time early and now i'm breezing through the game and baiscally never die unless i tank mechanics that i should have avoided. And even then, i can survive a phyiscal boss slamn attack on a T17 map (t15+irridiated+corrupted) while being at Boss difficulty +3 right now.
Gear for a shield, get block, enjoy your life. |
