Escape Trial Bug in the Trials of Sekhemas

I have had this happen three times now where one of the crystal towers is not selectable to move on to the next one. I know that it was the correct one because in all cases it was the first or second tower. I use a PC with an Xbox controller and there was no option to select the tower. I even tried using my mouse to select it and that did not work either. 2 of the three times were in stage 8 which caused me to fail at the end...

Seems to be if there are monsters close than it will not let me select it at all. If this is the first or second tower than there is not enough time to kill the monsters first. This has to be a bug since you should be able to run around the monsters and not attack them.

Keeps happening!! If there is a yellow monster especially by the crystal tower it cannot be selected by either the controller or the mouse. Frustrating!
