"You do not have the required quest state"

Hello all. This bug has been, well, bugging me for a day now.

I went to join a random party to quest in the Cemetery of the Eternals, and it immediately warped me to the final boss Lachlann of Endless Lament.

We defeated the boss, he dropped his item, I was able to pick it up and use it.

I warped back to town and attempted to warp to the Hunting Grounds and now this error keeps popping up.

When going to the Cemetery, I can't find anything in the area to interact with and the gate is locked.

Please help me progress.

I should mention I'm in Act 1 Cruel Mode.

I'm having the same issue. I restarted a fresh instance of the cemetery and killed both bosses in the tomb and the consort but once I opened the gate there was no boss to fight, no item to get. I'm pretty screwed here. HELP!

Are you able to join a party just for Lachlann?

So I figured it out.

I had to reset the instance for the Cemetery, since I'd been running around the same area trying to figure it out.

After that, I completed both the tombs, killed the bosses, opened the gate at the Cemetery checkpoint, and was finally able to warp to the Hunting Grounds.

Hopefully this helps someone in the future! I guess be careful about killing bosses out of order 🤷
