Post 0.1.0e patch shield wall/thorns interaction break.

Hi there,

I just wanted to highlight something so you are aware of it as I feel like this is an unintended change. I’m not really sure, hence why I’m writing for the clarification :3

As of the latest patch rollout, the interaction between resonating shield and shield wall has broken. In the previous patch armour breaking was possible on segments of the shield wall, enabling you to get stacks of scavenged plating so that you can ramp up your thorns damage in times where there aren’t many mobs to gain stacks from.

The patch notes do not notate the changes to the interaction, and in turn has actually made thorns less viable as scavenged plating is a large source of a thorns build’s damage; Especially in the early game.

Did something break (That wasn’t armour, hehe) or was this an intended change that wasn’t notated? I would love to hear your thoughts.

They "bugfixed" all 'inanimate objects' (walls and ice crystals) to be immune to armour break.

Terrible decision imo and it makes walls especially useless.
Damn, well I hope some of the other theories to help with making a thorns build work. Otherwise I’ll have to wait and see about the other changes or classes and their ascendancies to see if they work with thorns properly and make it viable in the future. Thanks for the clarification!
Oh, crap... I've just made the thread with the same question. So it was a "FIX" then. That's bad... Really bad. I loved the interaction so much.
Hope they will make it happen in the future.
Was wondering what happened, makes shield wall, resonating shield and even scrap armor completely useless now. They really need to change it back
