Lightning Conduit doesn't gain damage from Conc Effect support

As the title says, Lightning Conduit has the AoE tag and the way the gem reads, makes it sound like it is a real aoe skill. However using the Concentrated Effect support only reduces the cone length modifier in the tooltip. The damage doesn't seem to change (according to the tooltip).

Not sure if this is intended or if it is just a bug since the AoE tag is clearly on the skill gem.
