PoE2 minions disappearing

I have spirit. Tried different skeletal warrior scepters. Tried unequipping everything many times, including skill gems. Logging out and in. Closing the game. But no minions. No hellhound, no snipers, no warriors. My character is useless without this. What to do?

I have had this issue of Minions disappearing a few times while playing on controller. Then checked while using mouse+kb, and was able to see that my sceptre had somehow switched to the 2nd weapon set.

This was not apparent while the controller (xbox). And I just had it happen again last night. I don't even know how to switch weapon sets using the controller. Not sure if it was a glitch in the game or if I somehow mashed the wrong button.
