Mace skills will still be garbage if GGG only improof rolling slam, plz delete the cast time

All slam skills are feel very clumsy for thier 1.5sec cast time, with REDUCED attack speed, most of slam skills have 2.5 cast time in total. That will let you die easily in tier 11+ maps, and the time you clear a map will be 2-4 times than caster, making melee player poor and hard to buy things to upgrade their gear. Further more, the caster and ranger can attack while walking, making that fuking slowly stupid attack animation more hilarious and frustrating. It's OK that GGG just keep their shitty design of mace skills, that's fine. After EA1, maybe after axe or flail will be introduced, all melee players will not play mace again (unless someone enjoy cosplaying stupid sloth). All I worried is, if the dev who design these garbage skills is also in charge of other melee skills? That will be a big disappointment for that, I saw a lot of global melee passives in the left tree are reducing attack speed, which means that also makes flais and axes hard to stack attack speed. GGG once said something like "adding cooldown is a bad way to slowdown players" but I think adding unmodifable cast time JUST for melee player(instead of casters? what?), is a more dusgusting way to slow players. I've leveled 2 warriors to maps, deleted my first warrior that got to 24 on day 2. It's bad when "guides" to leveling a warrior to 30s all say to use some uniques and monk skills. Warrior play doesn't begin until Act3.
Sunder feels nice. Because it's first time you get payment for that huge cast time. It clears screens as long as you can tank the beating while casting it. Or you just start spamming it every 10 steps to hit stuff as it runs at you from off screen. "Boneshatter and Perfect Strike". Yeah, that's how I did it. You still have to swing once to get at least one mob near heavy stun before you boneshatter. You tank hits the whole time setting this up. |

" I love sunder in poe1, but with the rare mod that spread tracing purple balls, some times you can't even hit the target once. The cast time will brick the whole build. Interaction betweewn slam skills is stupid too, if people can just hit one button to do the job, who want a two buttom and weaker-than-1-buttom garbage? Volcanic fissure interact with sunder/rolling slam/leap slam EQ interact with stampede all these mechanics are fun, but with 1.5sec cast time, they deal less damage than just defaut attack for 6 strait sec. pethetic. |
