"Increased Rarity of items found" a dead stat?
Entering the endgame I thought "lets stack some Magic Find, so I can farm some mid/endgame gear and min/max my char".
Becasue even after 69 level (and 20-30 level on other chars) I haven't found more than 4 uniques total. Rares also don't drop that often, so I've invested into IRR to change that. I've managed to get about 140 IIR total on my gear....ofc giving up a lot of damage and defense in return. Conclusion: My drops are exact the same as without IIR.....still almost 0 rarer and unique drops. Exact the same loot on the floor as without IIR on my gear. Is it possible that the stat "Increased Rarity of items found" doesen't work propperly atm? I mean I don't expect some crazy loot-explosions now, but at least as the name says increased rarity of items here and there. And 140IIR is not so little....Would understand this kind of behaviour with 50-60 IIR on 2-3 items but I looked for prety high roll on all possible item pieces. Would be nice if GGG could clear things up, so we player know if it's worth to roll this stat or just to ignore it for now. Or is it possible that IIR doesen't work with minions?

are you kidding? rarity is extremely overpowered and desirable right now.
It affects everything from item drops to higher tier currency, even bigger piles of gold. So much so that i'm running a gold charm and gold rings for that extra boost at the cost of dps/defense. What's the sample size? Maybe you ran 1-2 maps and had a bad rng streak? That's always gonna happen in PoE. |

" anything is possible. The evidence I saw for how powerful it was, was a video someone made showing the loot they received from 10 maps with 0 of the stat vs. 10 basically identical maps with a shit ton of the stat. I think you'd need to do a similar test to truly get to the bottom of it - reporting ACTUAL numbers - X rares with the stat, Y rares without. X ex orbs with the state, Y orbs without. Anecdotal evidence "it hasn't changed my drops at all" isn't likely to be taken nearly as seriously. Last edited by pattw555#0071 on Dec 17, 2024, 3:44:36 PM

" Can you show me where its stated that rarity effects currency? In PoE1 it didnt Its generally a crap stat because in many cases you end up gimping your clearing speed and survivability. PoE2 doesnt have resistances and huge attribute boosts in its passive tree so if i want to get all the notables i require, i need to get attributes from gear. I also need to get resistances from gear. All these are suffixes, including rarity " Map stats are going to have a greater determination on how much loot you get than rarity from gear. GL clearing fleshed up maps while having a significant amount of rarity from gear at the same time IGN = Morlinus Last edited by morlin#4942 on Dec 17, 2024, 3:55:45 PM
