Sacrificial heart Issue

Beat the act 3 boss and had the sacrificial heart stuck in my inventory. So I traveled from chaos mode act 1 to Aggaroth Act 3 to take care of it. found the alter but my inventory was full so I couldn't pick up the dagger. Dropped a portal to go to town, identify, salvage and sell.

Went through the time portal after going through mine so I could get to town and it brought me back to the riverbank and I lost the heart and had no way to get back.

I had the same issue. It dropped out of my inventory before the Aggorat as I was moving items to sell. I cleared and cleared and re-cleared the map to try and get another heart. Couldn't get one to drop. Went to the Sacrificial Altar and was able to sacrifice the heart despite it not being in my inventory.
