Lingering Illusion stops working when you slot Vitality

Simple enough to say. I tried it earlier in my leveling and thought maybe it's not suppose to work. But no, according to the wording, tooltip, etc it should work. Other similar functioning gems work just fine.

What happens: If I dodge around, I will get an illusion. If I then insert Vitality (and I have enough spirit to do so), the skill shows as active but if I dodge it does not leave an illusion behind, it leaves nothing.
