Monk Charged Staff and Potential

Well, Charged Staff consumes all Power Charges and Potential uses Power charges for crit chance.
So do I get the benefit of both with a single consume or does the support gem just never trigger?

Hard to tell, there are bugs with this skill see (pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3609784).

Support gems are meant to trigger with this skill, as are the shockwaves per each attack you throw out. However for me supports work very questionably with this skill, and bork the ability of the shockwaves most of the time.

Based on the bug reports and what I've experienced, it's hard to tell whether consumed charges do anything besides add duration. The tooltips often lie too >.>
