Herald of Ash and Ignite Supports

I was somewhat puzzled to see that herald of ash cannot be supported by any of the Ignite supports (Eternal Flame, Ignition, Fiery Death, Wildfire, Frostfire, Fire Exposure, Searing Flame). Rules-wise it's clear that they all "Support any skill that Hits enemies", which Herald of Ash is not. It still feels like it goes against expectation: a skill that only ignites things cannot benefit from the supports that improve ignites.

I can see Eternal Flame and Ignition make no sense because the herald straight up ignites for a set duration, and Searing Flame is clearly geared towards Hits too. However Fiery Death, Wildfire, Frostfire and Fire Exposure all read as if they should work.

The issue here is GGG have incorrectly Keyworded Herald of Ash.

From my limited testing, scaling ignite has no effect on HoA, Nor does HoA detonate any ability that is detonated by ignited enemies. Therefore we can reasonably conclude HoA does not ignite.

HoA appears to function pretty much identically to HoA in PoE1, where the gem description states:

"While you have this buff, if you kill an enemy, other enemies near them will be burned based on the overkill damage. The burn inflicted by this skill can only be affected by modifiers to damage over time"

Note that they are careful to never describe this effect as an ignite. Modifiers to ignite do not affect the burn.

However in PoE2 it appears someone has mistakenly used the Keyword Ignite when they shouldnt have to describe its effect which has then been picked up by their tooltip hint system incorrectly.

HoA does ignite. I use it in conjunction with the other Heralds (I gain elemental damage when enemies are ignited). It also chokes down anything that lives thru the herald of ice/thunder explosion.

Indeed, wording is , at best, unclear as it specifically states Ignite (but doesn't scale on any ignite mechanics or supports) , and at worst, a bug where it is intended to work as an ignite, but doesn't.
