What is the point of gold in the endgame?

Are respeccing and currency exchange the only endgame gold sinks? I thought I would be able to gamble gold for items like in the campaign but this is replaced with expedition which does not cost gold. Is there no other use for gold? I am level 75 and I am sitting on 1.5 million gold with nothing to spend it on.

You can still gamble, just for some reason only from town and not your hideout.

Eventually Kingsmarch will get added to the game and it *might* have alternative gold sinks.

But yeah my gold is just piling up too, sitting at 3.4M and don't feel like gambling it away.

Cheers, just gambled 2 huge upgrades for about 400k :)

There can be another huge updates in further 10 million gold so gambling is a good gold sink. I am constantly out of gold.
