Can't Refund Attribute/Stat Node

I want to reset some of my attribute/stat nodes so I can go down a different path. However, I only get a popup to reallocate the stat to a different stat. I can't remove the node selection. This occurs on the Steam Deck, so it may be a problem with the controller interface.

This exists on PC as well. Total bummer since I want to do a complete respec and I can’t.

I've never had a problem removing stat nodes. Is yours needed to connect something you have? You cannot respec something if it leaves any nodes stranded.
