Such slow movement.. Fix before upcoming leagues pls...

Unlike poe1 where movement can be very high poe2 is such a slow paced game.
which is fine for the first runthrough, but as we all know there will be leagues...

meaning, campaign over and over again for every new league as characters get moved to standard.

im aware there is Shield Charge in PoE2, but unlike PoE1 we can't use it constantly cuz of a Cooldown in PoE2, in PoE1 its only related to the Mana we have...

and aside that we only have Life and Mana flasks in PoE2, and NO Movement flasks it makes PoE2 extremely slow...

Please GGG in any way give us a good movement fix so that we can rush through campaign in Leagues or atleast (speed it up), first time was fun but im on my 3rd character its really getting annoying... the slow pace

This complaint I see often yet no one is sure what the leagues will be like. You're looking for a solution to a problem that doesn't exist yet.

An actual problem is act 4-6 are an obviously tacked on cruel difficulty and tool long/grindy especially act 3/6, something that will obviously change in the future, so there is no problem to solve yet.
It's not live yet, but GGG has mentioned they're going to enable players to teleport between activated checkpoint markers on a map to help with traversal of cleared areas.

It seems pretty clear to me that they wanted a slower-paced clearing and lots less ignore-the-mobs approaches to the content, hence the reduction of MS in the skill tree.

Thanks for the response! I know we don’t have details on Acts 4-6 or leagues yet, but the campaign already feels slow as it is. The cooldown on Shield Charge and the lack of movement speed flasks make repeat playthroughs feel tedious.

Even if future acts or leagues change things, the pacing issue could still hurt replayability. I just hope GGG considers improving movement options before release.

I hadn’t heard about the teleport between checkpoints—thanks for mentioning it! That definitely sounds like a good start and would help a lot with backtracking.

That said, I still hope for some extra movement options. It doesn’t need to be as crazy as PoE1, but a bit more speed would make repeat playthroughs feel less sluggish.

I think most people's complaint isn't with clear speed or speed of combat. It is with the speed in which you move pack to pack or through empty areas.

Agreed, I think there needs to be some manner of out-of-combat movement speed increase, but I'm not sure how/if the game determines combat state. It does know Recently (last 4 sec) but I'm not sure that's enough to consider a character out of combat in a practical sense.

Even if that issue were to be resolved, I'm not sure how much would be appropriate. I've seen a lot of people argue that maps are too large. I don't believe 'too large' exists in a practical sense; rather I believe that maps feel too large because it takes uncomfortably long to traverse them.

I do think GGG will need to address this at some point, but movement speed bloat is something they appear to be very cautious about for PoE2.
