The problem = Zero chill

Dying to an explosion that is super tiny and barely visible and occurs 3 seconds after killing a boss in a map that I didn't even get any damage at all is too much.

After death effects should completely be removed from the game as they serve no purpose at all, they're just annoying. Especially those stupid white mobs that explode in like 5 seconds? Why?

I clear the map, kill one of the rare and almost complete the map, I look at my other monitor for 2 seconds and something super random and tiny explodes under me and one shots, even though I'm fully ressed with 6k ES, then I lose the map and %15 xp.

I'm totally okay with the difficulty, the pacing and everything, the xp loss, the scarcity, I already accepted. However after death explosions are the most idiotic thing in a video game.

You need to give people a breather. You cannot have an arpg game that literally has zero chill. You need to be able to look away for 2 seconds and not get punished for it.

I just realized the reason that I keep playing even though I didn't like the ruthless side of it is not because I'm having fun, it's because I want to beat it. The stubbornnes side of me activates and takes over and completely ignores the fact whether I'm having fun or not. In reality I'm not really having fun, I'm just playing for the sake of it.

Yeah the game actively fights and abuses you and doesn't let you relax or chill. I just gave up after 70 hours. Giving feedback is almost impossible as there are a lot of fanboys just assaulting you for your opinion.

I'd say let it be and when all these tourists leave we'll have our game. Money talks

If GGG imported poe1 to poe2 without the boosted Ruthless mode, you would still be here, trying to defend the game against any critique, even though the game would be completely different.

I completely agree. 3k ES, 1,5k HP = one shot from after "death explode". Losing map where you smash mobs and they don’t deal real dmg to you and then losing it because of one explotion is sooo F shit…

I'm still playing the game, however I'm playing it because of stubbornness, not because I'm having fun. I feel like I wasted 70+ hours on something GGG is trying to test people psychologically.

I could've just played a minion build and create posts about how good the game is.
yeah there needs to be a groove between tough engagements that require brain + reflexes and easy mobs you can glide through like butter.
extreme punishment requires extreme reward at the very least. I only have an hour or two at the moment to play, which is good cause I don`t want to play for longer anyway :D
I'm already so detached from the game to a point where I pause it every 2-3 minutes.

This never ever happened to me in poe1. Considering that I just played fresh wow classic 10 hours a day 3 weeks ago on a pvp server and hit 60 in about in 2 weeks, telling everyone in game that this was only a poe2 waiting room for me and I cannot wait for it to come out. I prepared myself to play poe2 without breathing, fast forward to now, end up pausing the game every 2-3 minutes and alttabing to just browse youtube tells a lot.
