Titan Grotto Boss has horrendus hitboxes

It's honestly insane how bad the hitboxes are for that boss.
Most of the time I'm wailing at it's left hand with 0 feedback if it's hitting it or not Targeting the same direction has my character running around in circles trying to hit something and god forbid if I want to drop the bell and wail on it cause sure as hell whatever direction the bell is dropped on I can assure you it'll not be the direction the targeting system decides to aim for next It's a boss that simply wears you down by the fact that hitting it is borderline impossible, you'd think the GIANT STONE STATUE would be hard to miss but non that's the most evasive boss in the whole 3 acts. Not to mention the whole sliding/falling off the platform that jerks the camera around like a madman, at least it doesn't kill you but it might as well since who knows what the boss is doing when for a solid few seconds your screen is just the ground Last bumped on Dec 15, 2024, 7:52:11 PM

Been there just earlier. Dropped the bell in the chasm once and more often than not the bell was spawning so far the giant wouldn't even hear it, let alone be affected by it in any meaningful way.
The boss feels like it has an i-frame during the ceiling laser attack - but not always, as I did manage to land hits on it at times. There's also a very fun event where the exploding adds can sync with the boss'es whole-arena aoe attack, making it a high risk gamble. In my opinion, the adds shouldn't spawn at all during that particular attack nor should the boss initiate it if there are adds still up. Then there's the line of sight obstruction caused by the boss'es arm when he rotates to the right of the screen. Then there's the fall/zoom-into-the-ground hiccup that happened often enough to not be able to memorize what causes it. Lastly, I've noticed that there's a non-zero chance that, assuming you barely make it out alive from the fight, you might not get your rewards if a random exploding add is still up and about and decides to go ballistic on you. Thinking maybe those adds should die along with the boss, to prevent the added frustration of losing your loot to pile on top of all the other fun moments a melee monk can experience there :D |
