Please consider Movement Speed for boots as a base affix
I saw someone mention this as feedback on a stream and wanted to reiterate that here. Please consider all boots to have move speed as a base on the boots. It's a pain trying to find boots with move speed and feels especially bad to find good boots but then is instantly trash if it doesn't have move speed on it.

100% agree. Even if there are hybrid bases such as 2-5% movement speed boost + 4-8 dexterity on the same line. (early game boots).
Be creative and give all boots at least 2% movement speed. it's really boring to pick up boots and ident and realize ''oh no movement speed... this is useless''. Why bother? this kind of design is the WORST aspect of poe1 and it doesn't belong in poe2. Next gen gameplay last gen loot excuse me? |

indeed. you can craft the coolest boots, without at least 20% ms they are trash in a game where 90% of your defense is movement

or just not have a penalty for wearing armor. everyone wears armor, everyone wants more movement speed. if this mechanic didnt exist i think nobody would miss it

Don´t you think the game should be about upgrades and that those upgrades matter to an extent where you actually feel the difference and have the feeling of finally accomplishing something meaningful?
What is the next step then? Physical dmg on weapons as a base stat? Res on rings? Attributes on amulets? Every belt should have two flask slots from the get go? Like, where is the line then? Why would movement speed be fine but the other stuff would not? Movement is probably one of the most important stats in this game because it dictates how well you can dodge/play mechanics. Why should that be free? This is without question one of the worst things that could happen to this game. It makes itemization way to easy, it makes lucky drops and crafting way less lucrative and it incentivizes others to ask for more changes to make players life easier. It seems character progression is not well established inside the PoE 2 player base. if you nerf 10 gems out of 30, you automatically buff the other 20!

" Right, the worst on PoE1 is its itemization. The way all those mods work together and how difficult it is to get them and how long it takes to get a god like character. Insane, what were they thinking making PoE 2 all about the loot again. How dare they. How could they possibly think we want to grind for upgrades. They should be in the shop right? You probably would pay 20 coins for 2% movement speed. Would be a meaningful and drastically noticeable upgrade. 2%. if you nerf 10 gems out of 30, you automatically buff the other 20!

" I have 6k hours in poe 1. You don't need to explain itemization to me. In poe 1 this wasn't even a concern. In poe 2 movement speed is a necessity. It's not even worth looking at the item without movement speed on it. If an item's stat isn't even worth considering without it, there's a problem. The other stats you mentioned are not a good point, they don't share this problem. |

It's also problematic because it ties into many things in Poe2, especially the "difficulty" of the game. Movespeed buffs your dodge, so you can dodge a bit faster. Have less movespeed, dodge like a turtle. It's just not a well thought out concept. They put a lot of things into this game with very little thought it seems. I hope they use the time until actual release to make it more bearable.
