2H mace is kinda playable but in a very disgusting way

As title

there's my thought:

defaut attack is the most powerful and usable skill to kill mobs, because most of the mace skills are disgustingly slow and weak.
I think it is already a big problem when ppl rather use defaut attack, than all these garbage skills that are worse than defaut attack.

the strike skills are very bad at targeting, ever worse than poe1.
the slam skills are slow af that it's too slow you can't even survive to get one hit in high level maps. the issue is too worse than poe1.

Chris and GGG had known these problem when 3.15 Chris go to a lot of interview with streamer, but 4 years later they make more slower and shitty melee skills.




I had tried to combine all these melee skill to do some combo or main skill in T10 maps, with my lvl 82 titan

armour breaker: T0 trash skill for sure, no comments

rolling slam: T0 trash skill that will miss the target and low dmg

EQ: can't hit a target in lvl 1 without support, even after you put on a 0 dmg support and 0 dps passive point to lower the latency of aftershock, it still let you die for no damage when in high level maps, unacceptablely clumsy, knowing it's already a slow and stupid skill in poe 1, let the skill effect being more stupid. It's ridiculous.

shockwave totem: it's actually a spell skill that only scale with melee level, so it's good.

boneshatter: good design but no good skill to trigger, so it's half trash for lack of good combo.

earthshatter: need big investment to make it work, easily dying for no stable dps. 0 investment: trash. big investment: T3 skill, not that good.

Leapslam: good design but armour breaker is trash and devastate is better than armour breaker. The worst problem of this skill is that it's too slow, I'd rather do a lot of defaut attack to trigger stun and devastate, beacuse using leap slam will stop you leeching and the long ust time will make you die.

Perfect strike: T0 one shot skill with fun mechanic, but the strike skill are terrible at targeting, a lot of melee players miss the target with perfect strike and die at boss fight, so it's still a bad bossing skill to use.

Sunder: T0 boss killer but only usable when target is stunned, because it's 1.5 sec cast time, you can't even use it to kill fast mobs, I die about 20 time when I tried to kill mobs with sunder in T6-10, I jump, the projectils or spells come, I die.

Volcanic Fissure: cool mechanic but no good slam skill to interact with, because every slam skill is slow af.

Stampede: kind of actually useable slam to kill mods but you'll die if you stuck in mobs without good dmg, can't go too high level with this skill.

Supercharged Slam: good boss killer.

Hammer of the Gods: good boss killer.


With right interact with right skills, 2H mace is good at bossing, but there's few bosses on the atlas, if you kill a boss every 5 maps, 95% of time you are a trash build and 5% you feel good.

How about rares? My God rare monsters are more powerful than unique bosses in T10 or more, for those stupid mods that spread lot of effect that hit you under 1.5 sec, there's no way sunder can touch a rare with tracing purple ball, I had
tried to kill a rare and forcing to dodge roll more than 10 times, after 5 min's epic fight, I kill it, I feel no fun but how bad is melee designed.

So after all, all melee players can do is get 75% block, 15-20K armour, 80% res and use your fucking ZDPS defaut attack, that's the most viable
strategy to survive in T11-15. Is that a good form of melee?

I don't believe the dev who design 2H melee have actually played this shit himself/herself, the person responsible for designing this shit should be ashamed.

Why I'm still trying to feedback all above these shit? I think 90% of these problem is told 4 yours ago, why this still happened and worse than before?
Are you GGG really listen to playerbase?

Warrior animations gotta be some kind of intern joke idk.

I look at Sunder and EQ animations and they just make me question how dumb I am to even get back into this madnes. I can see they laughing while watching someone press these. Melee is an eternal joke, and now we're even dancing like clowns on every attack to reinforce that.

And then you have D4. and I remember why they get away with all the shit they make and get praised. GGG has it easy

Same thought, I always remember when Chris promise to improve melee at 3.15 and they can just "almost" achieve it at 3.26, while keep saying "poe2 won't drag down poe1".
It's a lot of BS and disappointment and lie, somehow GGG's fanboy just can't notice that.
If poe2 is a big W that solve melee's problem, all these lie will be fine to me,
I'll forgive them. But it turns out a big trash that worse than poe1, and same same same problem just showing they never learn.
That's what I can't agree.
