Hit the pillars where it lands they will crumble and leave her trapped. In fact this makes the fight faster.
The room in the Trial of Chaos version is so absurdly large sometimes you drop combat with him when he flies away. I got into a situation yesterday where I was out of flask charges but he flew away from me and just sat on the other side of the room for 2 minutes while I let my health recharge.

The ToC version of the fight is terrible as a melee. Genuinely not one redeeming quality to it.

What pillars? There are none inside the Ultimatum trial boss room itself, only the campaign zone fight. I get 2 seconds to try and attack and he flies away with no indication where, finally find him, once again have to wait for some breath attack, then zooms off once again.
Agree and maybe in my case it even worse. because i have to take impending doom on the way to fight this annoying boss.
i have like 1-2 second to deal damage to him and runing away.

not count sometime he bug because he fly into terrain and stuck there like what the heck.

and after last update and they didn't even mention trial of chaos.
i don't think they want to reduce the dificulty of the trial.

so please at least make the fight not annoying will be great. let he like stand and fight for 5-6 second before escape.
or if player deal more than 30-40% of hp before the timer runout let it auto escape or something
