Affix tiers backwards
Not sure why they decided to make the tier of affixes go in the opposite direction for poe2(1 being lowest) or why they changed the name of the flask tiers but kept the same art. It seems like silly to change stuff life that.
But for the gear affixes, I think it is actually bad design to have T1 being the worst. Reason being if you pick up an item now and and see a T3, without knowing how many tiers that affix can have you don't know if T3 is the highest or if you are still on the low end. Like T6 seems good but if there are 8 tiers then its not great. If T1 is always the best tier regardless of how many tiers an affix set can have, when you see a 2 or 1 you know you have the best roll. You don't have to go look stuff up to see if it is good or not. It just helps with readability. I feel like they just changed it to be different with no thought about it at all. +1 I was thinking the same thing. Also some have as many as 9 tiers and some only 2. There would be no easy way to remember all of this.

Will bump every such thread. Reversing the affix tiers is madness, makes zero sense and is extremely bad in practice. Make it like it should be. Tier 0 = best Tier X (example - 10) = lowest, but varies based on the stat. I really hope they reverse this... it's driving me nuts. |

Yeah, this sucks. At the VERY LEAST say something like T4/8 so we know what T4 means. Right now it gives no information whatsoever.

" I think this is the entire point and goal of flipping the system in this way....add a layer of obscurity. The idea being, if you don't know that it ISN'T the best you are more likely to use it anyway because you THINK its the best. Only problem is the actual tiers will be datamined (and likely already are), leaving this a completely unnecessary layer of cloud. Change for the sake of change, rather than actual functional purpose. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Dec 28, 2024, 5:56:13 PM
