Lightning Monk and Power Charges feels clunky

So I'm almost 70h in the game just to got maps "Yay!"
On my journey there I rerolled between Lightning, Cold and Hybrid a few times
Here is my 2 cents:

Tempest Flurry needs to not move at all while holding shift... It happened a few times, a small rare or magic mob was being pushed constantly to outside my hitbox due to it moving

Falling Thunder feels like it don't hit all projectiles at point blank cast

Killing Palm is essentially useless after Siphoning Strike and Gathering Storm

Siphoning Strike has a long animation after it hits a shocked enemy

Gathering Storm mostly fine for mapping but the windy up vs payoff in bosses is not as great (change the perfect timing affect for a circular area around the last target would solve it mostly)

Now Power Charges and it's generation with the play style... that is what i think is clunky

They are almost fine for mapping, It does feels like you can't ever have
Charged Staff AND use another spender without loosing it, but not as much
But on Bosses with a lightning build, it is just better to get charged staff
and Tempest flurry the boss with the bell, rather than bothering building
charges for a finisher even with gathering storm and siphoning strike combo
the boss just dies that fast... and we would spend more than half of the
duration of charged staff poking the boss with siphoning strike to build the
charges again

we generate power charges in 3 ways and they all have problems:

1º Killing Palm: It gets body block and is useless against bosses

2º Siphoning Strike: it has a long animation AFTER you hit a shocked target,
that makes it too slow even with the boss sitting in a shocked ground from
Gathering Storm

3º Resonance + Battle Frenzied + Hunter's Mark it is the faster, but it
feels like cheating, Feels like when you need to do something that you
should not need to do just because something does not work, plus you only
generate 2 at best every 4 seconds, if you can freeze or electrocute every 6
seconds and apply hunters mark on CD

Have to agree. I find myself preferring builds on monk not using power charges. The palm strikes are janky feeling and power charge generation just doesn't feel good unless you find ways around what seem to be the "intended" way?

I don't feel like I should have to go out of my way to try and make power charge generation feel better when there's already tools to do so as early as level 2.
