MoM + EB + CI issue

Hello,
I have a problem. Since this morning I wanted to pass MoM + EB + CI and I encountered a problem. I keep receiving damage on my ES rather than on my mana. I've tried to dig, to respects small point by small point to try several configurations, but impossible to understand where the problem comes from.

As for the only one related to ES, I only have The everlasting gaze. But even if I remove it, the problem persists.

I'd like to point out that I don't have any particular mode on my flanges, such as remove from life, etc...
+ I do have in the character sheet the Damage taken from mana before life: 100%.

Your damage taken will go to mana once you have no ES, think of it this way, which I think alot of people are overlooking:

Builds that use life for mana cost(blood magic), and then still have all their ES over it. But then they just have massive HP regen to combat the "mana" cost.

Your ES will still drain first, and then your HP pool.


With how POE2 is calculating, Your mana has become your life, and your ES is still your overshield. It honestly just helps if a big hit comes in. Then give it time to recharge again.

I honestly believe it's working as intended with EB/CI/MoM(some people believe it's not). I only say this because it functions the same way as Blood Magic builds just in reverse with mana being your HP. Everlasting Gaze amulet makes it better because it increases your ES by all that mana you have and pushes it further.(some people think this is a bug) I thought it was a bug when i first saw it, but the more i think/see it, I believe it's working as intended. I think if it was incorrect, it would have been one of the first things to fix as that would be a pretty major gamebreaking bug.
