Please review Blood Mage

The Blood Mage I think is the only ascendancy right now that offers no benefit on its starting ascendancy. I get it, I like the heart shape and the paying for life for skills but as of right now, we do not get anything for paying life on spells.

There are alot of problems that 2nd node on the ascendancy gives to a player but it does not give anything back. The life remnants spawn below enemies so you cannot effectively get it on boss fights or enemies with on death mechanics. Either let the life remnants be siphoned when we crit or let it spawn relatively close to the player.

We have to manage not only mana regen but also life regen or some recoup shenanigans because of this 2nd node and for what, for nothing. It should atleast give us spell damage or chance to crit or crit damage or whatever when we pay life for spells or the life remnants also give us a bit of mana, either way this node and the life remnants does not warrant the life and mana cost of spells.
This ascendancy does not have any good node at the moment except the last 2 ones and we cannot have them both anyway.

There are alot of issues with this ascendancy and this is just probably the top culprit for me. I feel like the ascendancy right now is very weak compared to others,it comes off as not very well thought out, being a witch but focused on spell crit or physical spells which right now is very unrewarding and incomplete.
The ascendancy right now suffers from its own identity or the lack of, why am I paying life? I am a witch but I forsake my minions now because I have to take crit nodes. If I go physical I lose on 15 base crit, If I go 15 base crit why would I go physical spells If I cannot use bleed well. The last few nodes on the right side are just to help you solve the problems the first 2 nodes gave you in the first place...

Sorry for the rant, it is still a feedback. I have not posted anything on the forums since 2013, I might as well now given I like blood magic but not what we have right now. T
