Mounts for traversing maps.

A lot of people are talking about maps being too big. You've added checkpoints through the campaign and that's awesome, but I've heard you talk about an ascendancy for the ranger that would allow her to ride a Rhoa.

A mount?

MY suggestion would be to make mounts in the game. It could even be a microtransaction = purfect for everyone right?
Before you lose all your hair hear me out;

Make a rather long mount up time, so it doesn't get out of hand. It should never be worth mounting up between packs in my opinion, but when you need to back track in a big maps. It would be quite awesome to be able to mount up for an increased move-speed.

Want to make it crasy?
Make class thematic mounts. Example In an interview With Jonathan rogers and Ghazzy, Ghazzy asked for his skeleton minions to be able to transform into a mount as a necromancer.

At first I disagreed but sounds cool tbh

but im pretty sure they are adding taht you can teleport from checkpoint to checkpoint and they are adding mroe checkpoints per map

I'm strongly against a mount that you could use to engage (like jump out and attack like in D4) or escape combat on, but a mount to traverse the map with a 2-3 seconds cast time, that automatically disappears when mobs are in range? I'd pay 40 bucks for a cool one like that

My idea was just to add checkpoints to maps (they will allow teleportation between checkpoints soon) but I honestly think this sounds more fun. Being able to equip gear on your mount would be awesome too to give it increased speed, reduced cooldown, and so on.

I was thinking a sprint button for out of combat movement would be enough but class specific mounts sound quite fun. Can the witch get a flying broomstick please? xD
I imagine GGG probably doesn't want ppl to be able to skip mobs but just make it so you're force dismounted in proximity to enemies, it would still make traversing maps less of a chore.
