Sacrificial Heart is Stuck in inventory

So i was going through act 3 and found the sacrificial heart, ended up killing Doryani and going through the portal to the pseudo act 4 forgetting about the heart, and now i am unable to go back to the past in order to find the thing for the heart as it just takes you to the river bank.

If im just being dumb please let me know, but ive not found a way to get back, there is no world map layer for it so waypointing to it wont work and like i said the portal you originally took to get there just brings you to act 4

Pretty sure you can just drop it, which is weird and inconsistent with other quest items.

I have the same problem. You can't go back through the gate to finish the quest as it ports you to Act1. It also cannot be dropped, so now I have to go through the whole of the next difficulty losing 4 item slots in the inventory.

Somehow it needs to be removable, any of these would work:
- provide a way back to Aggorat after killing the final Act3 boss
- make it droppable
- remove it automatically when porting to the next difficulty

Yeah, they should've not reused gateway as a portal into Cruel.

It could be done by talking to an NPC instead, for example.
