Stuttering on high end PC

CPU: 13th Gen Intel i7-13700K
GPU: 4080
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
Storage: SSD
Renderer: DirectX12
Multithreading: Enabled

I often get huge FPS drops or game crashes.

I noticed this behaviour is somewhat inconsistent within maps, sometimes it happens and sometimes it does not.

Trails of Sekhemas on the other hand are honestly the worst. The hourglass room is unplayable and others just stutter like there's no tomorrow.

I noticed the stuttering and lags seem to get worse as I roll, not sure of relevance here. It probably doesn't help that I play mercenary with a lot of explosions.

All my drivers are up to date and I even changed the setting to low but it doesn't seem to prevent these issues from occurring.

Crashing is not as often but it does happen from time to time.

Update:

Changing to Vulkan fixed a lot of my problems, but whenever I use overwolves overlay I end up crashing a lot..
