Lost sacrificial heart

Normally the sacrificial heart can't be dropped out of the inventory but apparently this doesnt count for the trial of sekhemas chamber as when you drop it there (like i did on accident) it just despawns. It doesn't drop or reset into your inventory. It just despawns. Now, I'm LvL 67, so two skill points are incredibly important at this stage and it's super punishing that I lost them as I've redone the area twice now and none dropped, the game might still think that I have it.
I'll update this once I maybe find it again as I'm going to redo the areas a couple times more just to be safe.


UPDATE:
Despite not having the sacrificial heart in my inventory, the Ritual itself still worked and I got two skill points. Very weird occurence. I'm going to leave this up for people who may encounter the same issue.

Hey there, just wanted to thank you for the post. I had the same issue. It dropped out of my inventory before the Aggorat as I was moving items to sell. I cleared and cleared and re-cleared the map to try and get another heart. Couldn't get one to drop. Went to the Sacrificial Altar and was able to sacrifice the heart despite it not being in my inventory.

If anyone is having issues revisiting the past area follow these steps:

Go to Act 3 Present Ziggurat Encampment --> go down steps to Drowned City --> Take Drowned City WP back to Ziggurat Encampment.

This should PUT you in the past area, where you can re-use the WP to visit Past areas.

Yeah, this bug is super annoying with the lack of navigation from Past/Present, I thought I was going to have to take that heart to Act 3 Cruel to complete the quest on my 2nd character play through.
