Ghost Dance Literally Does Not Work

Whenever I turn ghost dance on I get stacks and the enemies hit right through energy shield into life pool. The shroud stacks count still going down from the hit. Why are hits going through energy shield?

I've noticed the same thing. I'm not sure but it looks to me that the hit did more damage than what I have ES so it takes the rest from hp, then ghost dance ends up restoring a portion.

I finally figured it out. Ghost dance skill doesn't work if you wear any unique chest armour

I'm not wearing a unique chest armour, and something it just drops working for me.

Based on your test, I would say that the energy shield recovery is calculated after damage has been applied. 5% of your EV is roughly 170 which means you are wasting almost two thirds of the recovery.
