Asmongold is insufferable and has some awful takes. Really don't understand why people watch him.

Both of them are professional steamers with very narrow interests and both have pretty bad or weird opinions on gaming in general.

I have no idea who Kripparrian is, but I would rather hear a wet farts opinions on the game than I would Asmongold's.

I did watch the Kripp video after seeing so much discussion about it and his points are spot on in respect to endgame. Other points too, but endgame needs the most love after the loot fix. I didn't see asmongolds "reaction" to kripps video but have heard him talk about both PoE 1 and 2 and I'm not certain he grasps either game as much as he thinks. He could be misspeaking when he does but in his "reaction" to DMs video, he contradicts himself multiple times almost back to back or his reasons don't line up with his point.

" I don't think they should speak for the community if that's how GGG takes it, but they can still make valid points. I went in completely blind until I hit endgame. I've decided to check out some of the video reviews as well as here, reddit, etc. There's a huge overlap with what is being said about the endgame and my experience as well. When they try to bend systems to cater to people that play 16 hrs a day I agree, they should be ignored. When they're pointing out friction that we just haven't hit yet, it's worth paying attention to. This same thing happened in D4 and everyone shit on them because we hadn't hit the friction yet. |

" PoE2 didn't even remotely start near D4 disaster levels. D4 started to be extremely controversial just due to its MMOARPG "formula" and went completely downhill where it become clear that Blizzard considers base game formula to be perfectly fine, and is willing only to add some minor bells and whistles onto it. PoE2 sticks to tried and true ARPG formula well-known since D2 with barely any innovation - it's particular numbers that some people hate (droprates, move speed, attack speed, etc), not the formula. Streamers are what made GGG and PoE1 what they are today, therefore they are (and rightly so) held in such high regard by the devs and PoE community. If it was for the elitists in these forums, they would push away every new player who tries to attempt this hugely complex game and the game would've never grown.
So love them or hate them they are here to stay :) P.S: Some of the streamer hate here seems to be fueled by pure envy. Its not a good look.. |
