Question about "more magic monsters/more rare mosters" map mod - Need GGG confirmation

I was wondering if "more magic monsters/more rare monsters" are additive? In other words, do they add *extra mobs* similar to packsize, or do they just convert the regular mobs to these types?

I did a 50% magic map and got no magic monsters.

Then on my way to TP, I rumbled a pack of magic Zombies hiding in the ground. All 5 of them.

Hah!, they are all hiding.

After covering every square inch of the map, nope, still only those 5.
Casually casual.

bump, looking for answers from GGG :)
These mods increase the amount of packs that are upgraded to Magic.

So the additional Magic or rare monsters are instead of white monsters.

Okay, so these mods aren't additive then. They just replace the default whites into blues/rares. Good to know. Thanks for the clarification.

Ouch. RNG hated you that day.

Oh LOL. I always thought it meant more magic-using monsters rather than physical users XD.
