Change Tempest Bell so it's considered to be an enemy

Tempest Bell is a great skill, but when it spawns in the middle of mobs and you don't have AoE, you can't hit it. Even when you directly hover over it with your mouse, auto-aim will redirect your attack to another enemy.

A simple fix to this is to consider it an enemy, and allow auto-aim to lock you on to the bell. I think it should even be with preference, because the bell is a huge damage boost and a combo finisher.

Is this on controller?
On M&KB it is pretty easy to hit it.

I have wondered why some people say it is useless, this scenario did not occur to me.

They should have a way to make it the primary target while it is out.

Yeah, controller have bit of a targeting issue. Least when it comes to bell, picking up items or interacting with things.

Since enemies takes precedence, unless you use the right stick to aim at the exact pixel the item is at.
