Inscribed Ultimatum 3rd ascendancy?

So im almost level 80, I refuse to do Sanctum for my 3rd ascendancy (already tried x5 times) since as a melee build in the 3rd floor i always end failing due to extreme honor loss and personally i absolutely hate sanctum with a passion, so i would like to know can we or can we not do the 3rd ascendancy with Ultimatum?.

Im mapping t8's and ALL the inscribed Ultimatum orbs (tried buying from other players as well same results) i get don't give me the ascendancy points, is this intended or is it a bug?
