Contagion range and passives

I'm not entirely sure if this is bug or not, but Contagion has Magnified Effect (+40% Area of Effect) support gem as recommended.
However, when I shift-hover passive nodes that increase Area of Effect (say, Roil for example) it does not list Contagion at all. Can this skill's spread radius be increased, at all?

Perhaps either the passives should be fixed or Magnified Effect removed from recommended supports? BTW hovering Magnified Effect does list Contagion.
