Lingering Illusion doesn't work while using support gems with it
|
For some base details:
I play Invoker and I have a total of 136 Spirit. 100 from quests and +36 from a single body armor (it has all requirements met from the skill tree not from other gear pieces). But the other gear pieces and gems all depend on the body armor being equipped to work. From this I am running 3 spirit gems: Herald of Thunder (30, HoT), Ghost Dance (30, GD) and Lingering Illusion (30, LI). On top of this I use all persistent support gems: Vitality (20, V) in HoT, Clarity (10, C) in GD and Precision (10, P) in LI totaling 130 spirit. For the actual bug: When I socket and toggle on all of the gems mentioned above I have the effects from 5 of these gems, the only one not working is consistently LI. When i swap around either the order of the supports or the persistent gems themself, the outcome doesn't change, LI still doesn't work, while everything else stays turned on. Some findings: When I remove either C, P or V, LI turns on. When I turn off either GD or HoT, LI turns on. If I swap V into LI, then remove either C or P, then LI stays turned off. If i swap out the body armor (to grant 0 spirit) and swap in an amulet granting 15 + 33 Spirit (148 total, 18 after reservations), all of the persistent effects start working normally. (By Lingering Illusion not working I mean: the illusions doesn't show up and the power charges were never granted even on perfect dodges throughout hours of gameplay. The gem shows the toggled on effect on the gem tab and the buff effect shows up on the buff bar for LI. This is also strange, as the socketed in support gem grants it's effect.) Some small update to my tests:
After swapping out my robe to grant 42 Spirit, so 142 Spirit in total, 12 left unreserved, I observed the following: If all 3 supports are socketed, V socketed in LI makes it always turn off. If all 3 supports are socketed, P and C socketed in LI makes it always turn off. Having only any 2 out of 3 supports socketed makes LI turn on. Socketing V and {P and/or C} socketed in {GD and/or Hot} makes GD turn on. This finally makes the supports functional I've had resources already for nearly a week. Also: the bug is not tied to requirements, as since then, I've got way more stats and the usability of the entire builds doesn't depend on a single intellect roll. Quick update: Trying to swap out either P or C (costing 10 Spirit) to Cannibalism (Costing 15 Spirit), after which 7 Spirit remains unreserved, the whole thing breaks all over againg except if I socket all the support outside of LI.
