[PoE2] Cannot leave The River Bank

I am unable to leave the riverbank with my character. I killed the boss at the end of the zone, logged out and back in again after a few days. I can still see the corpse of the boss, but am unable to enter town. I believe my character is soft-locked due to this issue.
