Lost the loot after a Double KO with the boss

so I was watching this streamer and she just Double KO'd the Act 1 boss (killing the boss while the boss killed her at the same time)

so she resurrects and goes back to the Arena but the loot is gone


is this intentional? it would suck if that happened to me too with a higher-tier boss

GGG seems to hate its player base.

Its the same thing to defeat the boss only to have 20 mobs spawn and swarm you trying to kill you and make you lose the boss loot.

Its not just lazy design its 80 IQ design.

Yes, it is intended, and it also happens in PoE 1 with certain endgame boss encounters too (Cortex, 5-ways etc).

They need to get rid of this checkpoint shit and respawing, it would fix this issue. The checkpoints only exist because maps are unreasonably large and meandering.

Happened to me once.
The boss killed me but my minions were mid animation and after i died they killed the boss.
Interesting thing was that after the boss had died they didnt drop everything at once but rather one item at a time and after i clicked respawn and went back to the area, a skill gem dropped out of thin air (all the other loot was lost tho).
So when this happens to you, click respawn immediately and you might be able to get some of the loot (i assume).
