Guess I'm just not getting my ascension

Level 48, trial in act 3 is level 38. Should be easy. I can get through the normal challenge rooms, but when I get to the boss my life just gets drained. I'm not standing in poison, I'm not getting hit by anything from the boss, there is zero visual indication as to why my life is going down, it just is.

Now I would have to waste even more time doing this shit again, only to in the end get trolled by some other bullshit mechanic that I can not see or do anything about. What am I supposed to do here? Come back when I am level 60?

When exactly is the boss? I got to the fourth room and no boss.

Also I thought I read that you only get two ascendancy points on normal difficulty. Is that not true? Did you get the first two points in act 2?

This game currently is soooooo unintuitive. I feel sorry for anyone who is brand new to POE games.

they did patch this already ... on the itmes it now tells you if you will get an ascention point.

and it was said taht you can get all teh points from any trial.

in the 4th room ... walk up the stairs, there should be a rock standing out .. walk to it and the boss will land.





and for the OP.
the poison and fire is sometimes ahrd to see, gl to you

What do you mean any trial? The act 2 trials will give more points?

Also the third room sometimes has a rare monster that is apparently draining my mana. I have no idea how to counter it. It's the challenge with the soul cores.

yes. it will tell you on the item if it will or will not give you a point.

the other way to think of it is .. if teh trial taht droped has more rooms than teh one you did it will give you ascendency points

haha i struggle with the mana drain myself quite a bit:D

for me the "easy"answer was .. get a low level icewall and block em away.
tho its not to reliable but it works .. adn i ahve 3 unused skillslots anyway

Why are all the trial items in Cruel diff saying they will reward me an ascendency instead of points?

but to clarify, the first Djinn trial has "Number of trials 1"
the 2nd has "Number of trials 2"
the thrid ....


same goes for ultimatum
first has 4 Rooms
2nd has 7 rooms
3rd ahs 10 ...

so you are able to get all your ascendencys from 1 trial ... but you ahve to find higher level trials to do so.


and yes .. i never did the 2nd trial on the char i posted from.. i did 1 ultimatum and 1 Djinn, not sure what ascendency i would even want on my stormweaver rn
