Again, I think the patch notes are all great. My only concern is the update to shields. As a player with a shield build, I personally find it thematic to have to face my enemies to get the full benefit of my shield. I worry that with active blocking, shields could become overpowered if they can still passively block everything but AoEs and unblockables. We'll have to wait and see. But as you've said yourselves, it's harder to take something away than to give it. Last night I noticed that some icons on my map weren't greyed out. I checked back, and there was still one active for Act 2 as well. So tonight I went back and grabbed them. The first was just some rare drops at the Forward Command Tents. Nothing too special there. But the second was my first Lesser Jewelers at Orok Campfire. I'm not sure how I missed that. I thought I'd cleared that last night. But I must have failed to notice/click the reward. I spent the rest of my short play session exploring the encampment, and deciding what to do with some of my hard earned drops. Wow I've been a bit frustrated from a player power perspective relative to some of the content and Jamanra, having to decide how I'm going to use my limited resources is still very much working for me. I had one Exalted I hadn't slammed yet and now I had one Jewelers. I also had another spirit gem I wanted to socket and an amulet to support it. This lead me to discover that Vitality and Precision were now supports for some spirit gems. So now I had three decisions to make, and all tickled my brain just right. In the end, I went with the build above and slammed the Exalt on the necklace that gave me the spirit buff. I then respeced out of Resolute Technique, which I was a little disappointed I'd felt compelled to take, and now I'm going to try going for accuracy again. I love these decision points! I know that it won't be long until I'm using tools to optimize builds or just following someone else's guide. So I'm going to savor these moments while I can! Last bumped on Dec 12, 2024, 11:29:27 PM
