Red Fog Prevents Entering Boss Arena - Riverside Map

Problem: As stated in the title, I could not enter the boss arena on the riverside map, as the red fog which should prevent leaving the boss arena instead prevents me from entering.
Map layout: Arena was to the south of the path I took approaching the arena. Hypothesis: As I'm playing a minion build, maybe one of the summons initiated the bossfight while I was still outside of the arena? Further testing let me sometimes squeeze a raging spirit through the red fog to damage the boss. Edit: I was able to enter the arena through interacting with the "door", so only a minor bug. Still, I'd argue that the red fog should only appear after I've entered the arena, not before.
