River hags are horrible.

No one ever thought drowning orbs were a good mechanic now you have gated a huge part of the game behind act 3 area's the size of a continent where if you slow down you have to start again, this feels horrible.

Have to agree, I was annoyed with those things as they would start spamming me off screen and I couldn't always tell what direction they were. While I made it through this area, eventually, it wasn't without multiple deaths because of getting stuck/caught in one of those swirly cloud things while in the middle of battling a rare mob and pack.
I had been clearing most of the other areas in act 3 reasonably well, but this area was a sudden and steep jump in difficultly. That being said, it was a decent gear check point for me to go back and check if I could upgrade anything. |

I've methodically full cleared every map... except that one. Screw those drowning orbs.

If river hags are going to stay in the game at less increase the duration of drowning effect because 2 seconds is not enough (I know it says 3 but it slows your entire roll)

"I have 75/75/75/33chaos and 1k hp and i still get slaughtered any time i stop to fight a rare. |
|
" Same. At a certain point I just ran through to avoid them. Not fun to have them spam those bubbles. The whole mechanic is unfun and interacts poorly with builds, and then they're also super common trash mobs. |

Wait until you see them in endgame maps, kekw.

I'll defend the Hag.
I think the real issue with the river hags is that the map they first show up on. The Map in question is HUGE. The Map has a low amount of checkpoints. The Map introduces Hags as a common threat. The Hags have an instant kill mechanic. The Hags have a slow mechanic. All those things in combination Make the Hag feel really bad. It makes failing the Hag mechanic feel extra bad. Slow mechanics are also universally hated by players across all games. So thats not doing the Hag any favors. ( Its why water levels tend to be unpopular in videogames ) As a Melee I hate that enemy, and make it a huge priority. Its a bit fun to have that. If I had to change one thing about them it would be making them stand out a little bit more, so I know where to drop the hammer. ---- I just hit the endgame and haven't had to deal with them in high risk maps yet, so my opinion might change. |

River Hags are fine, it's the instant death attack that doesn't have any place in the game.
They could've replaced it with massive ramping damage instead and it would've been A LOT better. |
