Valley of the Titans Rune Medallion Bug

When I get to the Valley of the Titans area where you insert the Runes in the Medallion, the program is bugged. The Medallion does not appear when I hover the mouse cursor over the spot where it's supposed to be, and it only appears when I hover the mouse cursor some distance away. When I take the Runes from my Inventory, the Medallion does not appear for me to insert the Runes.

Apart from that, I also got almost no items from the whole area. Only towards the end did I realize that what items dropped were actually invisible, where you didn't see either the item or label, but could see the label only if you happened to hover the mouse cursor over the spot where the label should have been. Then, the label would appear and you could pick up the item. So, the only way to get items was to move the cursor over an entire area after you killed monsters, trying to find an item label.
