Extremely disappointed in PoE 2

I'm extremely disappointed with PoE 2 and with the fact that I have to go back to PoE 1 again. The only good thing I can say about PoE 2 is the artwork and boss design maybe (just a few... not all of them). The gameplay itself is horrendous.

What I dislike the most:

- Slowness
- Bad progression
- No feel of accomplishment, way more frustration
- Stressful to play at every point
- Just. not. fun.

I totally do not understand what GGG did there. The build diversity will be incredibly bad as of the difficulty. Only the right builds will be played later on (or nerfed to the ground). As of the difficulty it makes no senes to go into the game without a build as a starter. So if I have to spent hours researching anyway I can directly play PoE 1.

Yeah, just realizing the game I have been waiting for so long is just nothing what I was looking for and I incredibly loved PoE 1. Sure, it's still there... but the game just got so big... it is a big downside to PoE 1 as you have to invest a lot of time to even be able to begin playing.

Please understand that literally tens of thousands of players are pulling the GGG Devs in one direction and another tens of thousands are pulling them in the other.


I, personally, enjoy the tedium and difficulty. As a matter of fact, I want the entire game to be a slow crawl of an ARPG with constant threat to my character...

On the other hand, I understand the thrill of rushing thru maps and wiping entire screens of their mobs in just a few seconds. I'm also against completely new Bosses suddenly, and unexpectedly, one shotting players, even from off screen.


In the end, GGG *might* be listening to you and me... they might even not be listening at all! It'll depend on them and not on us. The only thing we can do is speak up, clearly, and detail our hopes and experiences.

Yea, same here. I hope GGG makes a 'fast' mode in PoE2 for us who want to go faster, just like there is a ruthless mode for them who like tedium in PoE1.

Even better would be implementing the new graphics in PoE1, the original thing they promised all those years ago.

For now I'm gonna play PoE1 and Last Epoch until something better comes along, but yea, it stings that the biggest thing we got to look forward to is a big bust.

The reality is, most players in PoE1 never got to builds capable of full clearing screens in a few seconds. Maps took 3-5 mins for a small minority of higher end players, and the vast majority were spending 5-10 mins per map.

When you say PoE1 is all about full clearing and insta gibbing pinnacle bosses in a few seconds, you are talking about .0001% of the players playing PoE1. Streamers, and a few high end players. Thats it. Again, majority of people who reached end game were casually enjoying it with 3-10 min map clears, and trading for gear and such.

For whatever reason, GGG decided PoE2 is a slow, slog, crawl. Fine, but i'm out, and i'd imagine they will lose many of these fresh players due to the same thing.

I completely agree and believe me, I have REALLY tried hard to enjoy it. But I genuienly can't.

I'm really sorry to say that I have to agree with you.

I tried really hard for several days, but it was just getting more and more frustrating day by day.
In the end, I decided to uninstall it.

I wish you all the very best of luck with this game if you have the passion and patience for it.
I'm going back to PoE 1 and D4.

That's why we need 2 modes
They cannot please both crowds
It will end up in an awkward middleground both sides enjoy less
