Allowed to pick up Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum with full inventory, item deleted. [PoE 2]

Killed Xyclucian, the Chimera and it dropped the Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum. I didn't know my inventory was full so I tried picking it up and the game allowed it. It disappeared from the ground but never entered my inventory. IT did give me the Trial of Chaos quest however, despite me not actually having the Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum.

I tried killing Chimera again with a friend, it didn't drop. So we tried having me follow him as he used one of his ultimatums. Sadly we died and the Trial of Chaos quest was still on the first step, i.e. asking me to put the Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum that I never got into the statue.

Tried killing Chimera again, this time alone and still it didn't drop. Asked for advice in global chat and got given a spare ultimatum from someone. Sadly, I died in it and because it wasn't the Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum it does not let me retry it as often as I need, instead being lost upon the one use.

The Trial of Chaos quest has at least advanced to the next step of finishing the trial. But without the Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum I'm forced to hope that I get random ultimatum drops and hope I clear them on the first try.

Is there a fix to this?

The item dropped, but it didn't appear in my inventory for some reason. I have the quest active, but I don't have the required item. Do you know what I can do to resolve this ?

I don't want to delete my character please :')

Yikes think I had the same. Am I just out of luck?
