Feedback on recent Patch - Ailments
|
Hi Guys,
I wanted to share my feedback regarding recent patch and impact it brought to the game. I of course understand the need for nerfing CoX builds in general, but GGG should also pay attention to what these changes mean to other builds. Currently with changed ailment generation that is based on Power of monsters, generating ailments on normal/magic mobs is almost non-existent, and you still can apply all ailments on rares and bosses It should be easier to apply ailments on weaker monsters in order to crowd control and help with clearspeed. Currently how it works that you have to aim for every specific mob with melee skills, and on bosses you dont have to do anything because these are frozen If they want to nerf CoX builds, why shouldn't they add a mod to them that triggered skills deal X% less damage instead of completely obliterating them and in addition other builds by chance Let me know your thoughts and let GGG hear us Last bumped on Dec 12, 2024, 11:31:36 AM

or just hear me out, don't use comet, why bother nerfing the damage when you can just use a faster casting spell that does less damage instead and it roughly ammounts to the same thing.

" Thanks man, but I am not even playing comet or Cast on X, I am using melee build which uses ailments and now i cannot apply them... |
|
"What do you mean now you can't apply them? you made me re-read the patch and there is nothing there about ailments... my melee build still applies ignite, so I don't understand what you mean??? |

" The issue is that as the ailment application is now based on power, it is significantly harder to apply ailments after the patch. Skills like Herald of Ice almost doesnt work unless you are playing pure cold damage (20% extra cold is not enough to apply freeze on normal mobs). They did that to nerf CoX builds, although (maybe unintentionally) they nerfed other builds as well Edit: I am able to kill bosses on T13 maps in 3 seconds (ofc freezing them) but applying freeze on normal and magic mobs is basically not existant now) Last edited by TheYaxley#0827 on Dec 12, 2024, 11:33:07 AM
