Cast on Shock - Build bricked

Welp, I was using Ball Lightning (literally throwing 6 ball lightnings) -> Lightning Warp to create shocked ground to trigger Cast on Shock for clear and Lightning Conduit for boss damage and Lightning Conduit as a secondary setup with auto cast and my build is now pretty much dead.

2x Shock x 35% shock value x 100% damage Lightning Invocation seemed like it was going somewhere but hard casting an ability on a white mob now gives 2% "Cast On" energy build up and it doesn't matter if I hit an entire pack. It's still 2%.

And since ground effect shocks doesn't count anymore for some reason I cant throw lighting balls and apply it that way to proc my "Cast on" effects. Please add ground effects back at least and make the shocks PER monster not per cast. That's insane.

Hard casting Lightning Invocation is a death sentence since it takes 1,5 seconds of you CCing yourself and it can be interrupted leaving it on full cooldown (10 seconds atm).

Same if you dodge roll out of the animation, full cooldown. Something has to give here. Why shouldn't clearing be allowed with "Cast on" effects? Why only balance it for bosses? I don't want to use it for bosses, I want to use it for mob clearing since that's where all struggles in this game is in. You being swarmed by small critters.

Was 2 clicks away from spending literally all my gold yesterday to respecc into this build that I finally got the gems for and had I done it I'd been royally pissed off today. Now I'll have to burn all my gold and resources anyway to figure something out because I can't progress anymore.
